Mr. Furtado spent most of his life in neighboring Manteca, Ca. where he graduated from East Union High School. He received his A.A. at Delta College, then transferred to Sonoma State University where he earned his B.A. in English and single subject teaching credential. He went on to earn his master’s in education and his administrative credential at National University. His career in education began upon his return to the Central Valley in 2005 when he became an English Teacher at Weston Ranch High School located in Stockton, Ca. While teaching English, Mr. Furtado was also the Activities Director and spent time coaching multiple sports including football, basketball, and tennis. In 2016, he took over as the Athletic Director and Vice-Principal for Weston Ranch High. The 2020-2021 school year will mark his 3rd year as Escalon High School's Assistant Principal. He is proud to be a part of such a wonderful community and feels grateful for the opportunity to serve the great students of Escalon High.
