Check out these TWO UPCOMING SPEECH CONTESTS! Sign up or get more information at the ASB office.

  1. Escalon Sunrise Rotary Speech Contest is January 29 at EHS at 7am.  First, second and third place winners will receive MONEY! First place will continue to the next level for a chance to win MORE MONEY!
  2. Escalon Lions Club Student Speakers Contest is Thursday, February 5. Time and location to be announced. Speech subject is “Youth Mental Health: Overcoming Barriers to Well-Being” First place and finalists will receive a CASH prize. First place will continue for up to 5 more levels of the contest with a top scholarship prize of $10,000! 

 

Paul Mitchell Presentation: We are hosting an RTI Presentation next Wednesday 1/14 for students who are interested in finding out more about the cosmetology programs offered at Paul Mitchell. All grade levels are welcome to attend- sign up under Mrs. Strmiska in Enriching students.

Interested in joining CSF? Join us on Wednesday, January 14th, in room 2 (Mr. A’s classroom) CSF helps students with College applications and adds to your academic resumes!  This meeting will talk about spring membership, volunteer opportunities, and seniors with graduation

 

Friends Helping Friends Club: Please join us this Thursday at lunch in Room 24. We will be having our first meeting of the new year and we have a lot of exciting activities coming up that we would love to have you be a part of. 

 

Seniors planning to attend San Joaquin Delta College next fall — please sign up for our upcoming application workshop.

 

Vintage yearbooks are available to purchase for only $5 each! There are many past years to choose from (dates from 1953 to 2018).  These make great gifts and are so fun to look at!  These books are in various conditions. They’ve been stored, moved, and some were previously owned and donated back to us. You are able to look at the condition before paying for them. Call Karen at 209-691-9858 to check if yours is in stock.

Seniors: Graduation Reminder

  • Cap and Gown: To participate in the graduation ceremony, all students must have a cap and gown purchased only through Jostens. CLICK HERE to order.
  • Using a Sibling’s Cap and Gown? You may reuse it, but you will still need to purchase a new tassel for the cap through Jostens.

Please note: All caps and gowns, along with any announcements ordered in the fall, will be delivered to students at school on April 28 during lunch. All other items ordered in the spring, except caps and gowns, will be shipped directly to the student’s address.

The Escalon Sportsmans Club scholarships are now open! Everyone should apply to these as they are for all majors!

Seniors pursuing a career in education…The California Retired Teachers Association is offering scholarships to five students in the amount of $1,500. Get the application from Karen Nunes.

 

Senior Disney Grad Night is tentatively scheduled for May 12, 2026.  Price is $459 per student and includes Motorcoach transportation and a Disneyland Grad Nite Park Hopper Ticket.You can join the waitlist. Congratulations to the Varsity boys’ basketball team for their Homecoming victory on Friday night vs. Hilmar. Also, congrats to Ben Ferreira for being chosen as Homecoming King. Thank you to all that came to help fill the Cougar Dome and create a true home court advantage. We need your support again this Wednesday in a big game against Hughson

BOYS GOLF-Mandatory meeting at lunch in room 27 on Friday (1/16) for anyone interested in playing golf this year.
