Tomorrow (11/9) is our annual Veterans Day Assembly. This beloved event allows EHS the opportunity to thank and celebrate our local Veterans from the community. 

FFA’s cookie dough fundraiser is estimated to be distributed on Thursday, November 16.

The Library will be closed Thursday, November 9th. Please plan accordingly.

Next week is Kindness Week! The PIT class will help us celebrate kindness by offering kindness grams, dress up days, and various activities throughout the week. Check the PIT and EHS instagram pages for more details! 

Winter formal is January 20, 2024.  You won’t want to miss this one!  Permission forms will be available soon.  Please be sure you are eligible and have no fees due at the library or ASB office   Starting ticket prices will be $55 each and will increase over time.  More about ticket sales will be posted later.

FFA’s Drive Thru dinner is November 14!  $60 for a whole tri-tip, pasta salad, Portuguese beans, 4 rolls, and 4 cookies. Attention FFA Members -TODAY at lunch there will be a meeting for any FFA members who are interested in competing in a speaking contest. Please come to room 36 for all speaking contests including Creed, Spanish Creed, Impromptu, Extemporaneous, Job Interview, and Prepared Public Speaking. If you are planning or considering showing animals at Ag Fest with Escalon FFA, you need to fill out the Escalon FFA Fair Exhibitor Application that is posted in the FFA Google Classroom. Both the application and the Exhibitor Contract are due to the advisors by November 9th. Escalon FFA offers a scholarship to qualified students who need an FFA jacket. To apply for the jacket scholarship, you must be a student in an agriculture class and be an active member in good standing of the escalon high school FFA. You can find the application on the Escalon FFA google classroom page. Be sure to submit them soon, as the application deadline closes November 10th at 5pm. The Thanksgiving meal drive ends on November 15th. Bring in items such as; aluminum turkey trays, boxed biscuit mix, no bake cheesecake mix, boxed cake mix, boxed instant potatoes, gravy, boxed stuffing, canned ham, canned cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, and turkeys. 3 items will result in 1 hour of community service and 1 FFA point. Bring in your donations to room 25,36,37,38,

GSA- There is a meeting in Room 15 on Thursday, 11/9 at lunch. Please get your volunteer permission forms signed and bring them to the meeting.

ASL Club will have it’s normal bimonthly meeting next Tuesday 11/14 at lunch in Room 3. All are welcome to stop by and have some fun learning American Sign Language.

STUDENT DRIVERS- You must display a parking permit whether you park on or off campus. Please pick up your permit application outside of the front office.  If you do not have a parking permit displayed, Ricardo will tag your vehicle with a reminder; after that, disciplinary action will follow.

Blood Drive: The EHS fall blood drive will be hosted on Thursday 11/30 in the theater. Spanish Club is selling beautiful (16-18” estimated height) red poinsettias in 6.5” pots with a colored paper sleeve for $19 until November 9. Plants can be picked up November 15 and 16. CTE (AG & First Responder Students): All students attending the CTE Disney Leadership Conference will need to turn in both your green permission form and your white code of conduct form by Thursday, November 9th.

Seniors who are applying to 4-year colleges- the college application deadline is approaching on November 30th. The counseling department is offering drop-in application review sessions during lunch this week and the week of November 27th. Please reach out to your counselor with any questions!

Lincoln Center is offering four $2000 Scholarships!  All students should apply for this one.  Now is the time to get started working on your applications.  Karen in the ASB Office will help you understand the process and find the best scholarships for YOU!!
