ASVAB-  10-12th grade students interested in taking the ASVAB exam can sign up using the posted link (https://forms.gle/yeaiu3juGMq6Tvty7). ASVAB is a standardized career aptitude test open to anyone, scores are required for those interested in enlisting in the military. EHS will be offering the exam on Tuesday, Oct 31, 2023. 

EHS Juniors - The Escalon Sunrise Rotary is seeking applicants to participate in the 2024 RYLA Leadership Camp.  These camps bring together over 200 students from the Central Valley who are already leaders in their schools.  The camps will run from February 16-19.  More information and applications are available from Karen Nunes in the ASB Office and are due by October 24.

Friends Helping Friends club meeting Tomorrow, October 5th so we can discuss Homecoming and the Halloween Party! See you there!

STUDENT DRIVERS- You must display a parking permit whether you park on or off campus. Please pick up your permit application outside of the front office.  If you do not have a parking permit displayed, Ricardo will tag your vehicle with a reminder; after that, disciplinary action will follow.

All ASB Cards and Family Passes are here. Please stop by the ASB office this week and pick them up.

ALL Class Shirts have officially arrived!  There will be a pick up station outside of Rm 7 through the next week to pick yours up.

GSA- There is a meeting tomorrow 10/5 at lunch in Room 15. Come join us to finalize homecoming plans and get your volunteer permission form. 

California Scholarship Federation (CSF) If you earn good grades and want to join this honor society for high school students or if you want to be in the loop for possible volunteer opportunities, please join the Google Classroom at: 5vjxh6b    Remember that you must apply each semester.

Modesto Junior College will host the 40th Annual Hispanic Education Conference on Saturday, October 14th. This conference aims to enrich and empower current and future Modesto Junior College students to succeed in their education journey. A bus will depart Escalon High at 7:45 AM and return at 2:00 PM. Please register in the counseling center by October 4th. All students are welcome.

Attention All FFA Members: If you are interested in helping out with the FFA homecoming float we will be working on the float every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 3:20 PM today in Ms. Johnson’s room.  

EHS Portuguese Club meeting today, October 4th, at lunch in Room #5. All are welcome to attend this meeting. Hope to see you there! 

Students remember to power wash your chromebook monthly.  The instructions are on the school website under the Families tab or come to the library for help.

Academic Block E - Each year 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are recognized for their academic excellence with either a patch or pin for their letterman jacket. Stop by room 9 to pick up an application and see if you qualify. Applications are due by October 6th

 

Mariachi Club is looking for vocalists! If interested come to our meeting on Friday, Oct. 6th at lunch in room 16. No experience needed! 

 

Seniors interested in applying to CSU’s- Visit the senior Google classroom to sign up for the CSU Application workshop at EHS on Wed, Oct 11th, during 5th & 6th periods in the library. You must sign up on the Google form to attend. 

The Greg Cupit Memorial Scholarship is open to Football and Baseball players.  It is due mid-December.  Don’t miss the opportunity to apply for this scholarship.  Please stop by to see Karen in the ASB Office. She will help you with the information you need regarding how to apply and make the process easier.

Seniors who still need to take their yearbook photo can do so on Oct. 13th in the theater. Picture times will be assigned with passes. More information will be going out to families in the next few weeks. 

 

 

 

Attention all boys interested in playing basketball this upcoming season…if you missed the meeting on Tuesday, contact Coach Bartelink at [email protected] to get signed up. Mandatory pre-season conditioning starts on Monday, October 9th. All those wanting to try out for the team must complete the online clearance process before being able to participate in workouts.

 

Attention all girls interested in playing basketball this upcoming season, there is a mandatory meeting this Thursday 10/5 at the beginning of lunch in Room 23. Lunch will be provided.
