STUDENT DRIVERS- You must display a parking permit whether you park on or off campus. Please pick up your permit application outside of the front office.  If you do not have a parking permit displayed, Ricardo will tag your vehicle with a reminder; after that, disciplinary action will follow.

Your ASB Cards and Family Passes may be here.  Please stop by the ASB office to pick them up.

Freshman and Senior Class Shirts have arrived! Please stop by Room 7 today to pick yours up if you pre-ordered one. 

Sophomores & Juniors interested in taking the PSAT will be able to purchase exams online or in the ASB office from Sept 8- Sept 15th through the end of your lunch break.  To purchase online, use the following link: https://escalonusd.myschoolcentral.com/(S(ojqwqbz04uymnlxowrvjyp1b))/Index.aspx#/4/product/10155  Price is $18.00. The exam will be held at EHS on October 25th. This exam is to help prepare students to take the SAT and qualifying scores may be eligible for National Merit Scholarships. 

Save the date for the 2023 EHS College Night- On Tuesday, September 26th, parents and students of all grades are invited to attend. There will be a presentation in the theater starting at 5:30 pm, followed by a college fair with informational tables in the cafeteria from 6:00-7:00 pm. Don’t miss out!

Art club- meeting Tuesday Sept 12 during lunch in room 40

Photo Club- There will be a meeting in room 40 during lunch this Wednesday (Sept 13)

Attention all students: Art club will be selling ice cream during nutrition break outside of room 40. The cost is one dollar each. Please try to have exact change. 

The Portuguese Club will hold their first meeting Tuesday 9/12 during lunch, in Rm 5. All are welcome to attend! We will be discussing the multicultural festival and homecoming!

The new EHS Chess Club will hold its first meeting on Thursday, September 14th, during lunch in Rm 31.  All are welcome to come and check it out!

Students (gr. 9-12) who are interested in scholarships, please stop by the ASB office at your convenience for more information.

Students attending the Construction Trades Career Fair, Please submit your pre-arranged absence form to ensure your participation is approved. Date of Trip is Friday, September 15th.

California Scholarship Federation (CSF) If you earn good grades and want to join this honor society for high school students or if you want to be in the loop for possible volunteer opportunities, please join the Google Classroom at: 5vjxh6b    Remember that you must apply each semester.

Students who missed having their picture taken at Kickoff - Shoob photography will be on campus on 9/25. You will receive a pass that morning with your scheduled time.

Attention FFA Members: The Ag Careers Summit is September 14, we will meet in room 36 at 7:50am to leave for the trip.  Any FFA Seniors interested in attending MJC there will be a signup meeting for the MJC Senior day in room 36 on Tuesday September 12th at lunch.  The Livestock Judging Team will meet on Wednesday September 13th at lunch room 36. The FFA Cookie Dough Fundraiser will start on September 13 so if you like Otis Spunkmyer cookies find an Ag student to buy yours! Lastly there are two Community Service opportunities coming up:  The Maui collection drive in the Ag department and on September 16th is the Campus Beautification Project, talk to an Ag Teacher or FFA officer for more information.

ASL Club is having its first meeting today at lunch in Room 3. ASL is a club dedicated to helping students learn Sign Language and to create awareness. All are welcome to attend, whether you know some sign language or not!

FRIENDS HELPING FRIENDS CLUB: "Our mission is to create a KIND, WELCOMING, AND JUDGMENT-FREE environment for ALL students with or without a disability, where acceptance and friendship thrive. We strive to create lasting connections and spread positivity throughout our school and beyond." If you are interested in joining the FRIENDS HELPING FRIENDS CLUB, come to our first meeting this Thursday, September 14th in room 24 at lunch!

 

Seniors interested in applying to UCs- Visit the senior Google classroom to sign up for the UC Application workshop at EHS on Tues, Oct 3rd, during 5th & 6th periods in the library. You must sign up on the Google form to attend. 

Lots of scholarships are already open!  Daniel Angelo Felix Memorial (for students going into probation, criminology, or law enforcement), Greg Cupit Memorial (for EHS football or baseball players) and Edward Mulvihill Memorial (open to all majors, but those majoring in drama or the arts may be given preference).  These are just a few opportunities.  Stop by and see Karen in the ASB Office.  She will help you with the information you need regarding how to apply and make the process easier.

Seniors who still need to take their yearbook photo can do so on Oct. 13th in the theater. Picture times will be assigned with passes. More information will be going out to families in the next few weeks.
