Escalon High School Daily Bulletin

Day 5 of Cougar Clash!! The Junior Class is in the lead with 81 points.  The Sophomores have 71 points, Seniors have 30 points, and Freshmen have 20 points.  Today we wrap-up with a “minute-to-win-it” rally and awards to see which class can claim the title as the first ever winners of Cougar Clash!

Prom is SOLD OUT! The formal masquerade is May 6, 2023, from 7-10:30 pm. Please be sure you remain eligible to attend prom.  If you would like, you can see Karen Nunes in the ASB office to be added to the prom waitlist.


ASB is no longer accepting checks this school year (effective March 31).  Please plan to pay cash or pay online when available.


ATTENTION New PIT Students for the 2023-2024 school year!! Please check your email as the PIT class has sent you an email with a survey in it! Complete the survey as soon as possible!


Congratulations to all the students who received the seal of biliteracy award from Escalon High school. We had one of the largest groups in San Joaquin County!! 17 seniors received the award!! Students who took medals home please bring your medals to room 22 As soon as possible. 

 

AP Course Meetings and Contracts Are Here! If you are registered for AP Classes next year, you will need to submit a course contract for each AP class you plan on taking. Meetings will be happening this week, April 17-21, during lunch. You can pick up your course contract and summer assignments at these meetings. The meeting schedule is as follows:

AP Psychology Meeting - 4/25 Tuesday in Room 23 at Lunch. It will be brief. 

Applications for the 23rd San Joaquin County Youth Leadership Academy are now open. This program allows students to experience the criminal justice system in action while developing personal and professional skills. Please visit the counseling office for application.

AP US History - All students who signed up for AP US History next year please check your email for a Google Classroom invitation and stop by room 9 a.s.a.p. 

AP Spanish: All students who signed up for AP Spanish need to go to room 22 As soon as possible and pick up your contracts. Contracts are due no later than Tuesday April 25, 2023. 

The Cougar Closet (student store) is open and available online.  You can purchase items with cash at the ASB Office.  Spirit items can also be purchased online via the EHS website. After School Tutoring & Study Hall is open after school: Mrs. Olsen is available from 3:15-4:15 pm on Mondays and Thursdays in Rm. 29, and Mr. Louro is available on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30 pm. You can email Mrs. Olsen or Mr. Louro with any questions.

First Responder Leadership: If you are interested in joining the First Responder Leadership Team for next year, please let your counselor know - applications/interviews coming soon!

Senior News

Attention all seniors you must turn in your senior contracts immediately if you have not done so already.

Did you receive any scholarships that you would like in the graduation program?  Please write your name and name of the scholarship(s) on a piece of paper and bring the information in person to Karen Nunes in the ASB office no later than May 1.

Senior Slideshow pictures: if you have any pictures from your time in Escalon with you and friends from elementary school, El Portal, or EHS, send them to Mrs. Carbajal or the Senior Class instagram page.  The deadline to submit is Monday, May 22.  The slideshow will be shown at Senior Sunset.

Senior Award Night is just around the corner…May 24 at 6:30 pm in the EHS Performing Arts Theater. This is an INVITATION-ONLY evening to recognize students with awards and/or scholarships. Invitations are being distributed all throughout this month.  If you get one, you can bring two guests….Just RSVP to get your guest tickets emailed to you.

Seniors attending Grad Nite: There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 10, after Advisory.  You will receive travel details, itinerary details, and go over guidelines from the Disney parks.  You will also sign up for bus seating that day.  Remember to check your grades to remain eligible to attend this awesome trip!

Attention ALL Seniors- Have you committed to a college or post-secondary program for the fall? Visit the Senior Google classroom and let us know where you are going so we can proudly display your name on a pennant in the hallway.
