Escalon High School Daily Bulletin

Going to PROM? Contracts for EHS students and guests are available in the rack on the wall by the office and in the library.   Prom is May 6, 2023, from 7-10:30 pm.  Less than 140 tickets are available, so please don’t delay getting your tickets.  The ticket prices for EHS Students and non-EHS Guests are $70 thru April 6, and $85 thru April 19.  Tickets will be available to purchase at the ASB office or online after the completed contracts are turned in to the ASB office.  Guest contracts are due no later than April 3 at 3:10 pm.  The last day to purchase tickets is April 19 at 3:10 pm.  **IMPORTANT**A new grading period will begin after spring break.  Please be sure you remain eligible to attend prom.

ASB is not accepting checks after March 31.  Please plan to pay cash or pay online when available.


FCA - The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be having a club meeting on Friday during lunch in room 10. We will be featuring a guest speaker. You do not need to be an athlete to attend the meeting - everyone is welcome. Join the FCA for lunch on Friday!

 

Applications for the 23rd San Joaquin County Youth Leadership Academy are now open. This program provides students with the opportunity to experience the criminal justice system in action while developing personal and professional skills. Please visit the counseling office for application and more information.

Introducing the 5-Star Student App: Attention Cougars!  Please download the 5-Star app on your phone or Chromebook and login.  This will eventually be a “one-stop-shop” for your student ID card, activity check-ins, spirit points, voting, event calendars, and much more.  Login information can be found in the main hallways and Rm 7.

The Cougar Closet (student store) is open and available online.  You can purchase items with cash at the ASB Office.  Spirit items can also be purchased online via the EHS website. After School Tutoring & Study Hall is open after school: Mrs. Olsen is available from 3:15-4:15 pm on Mondays and Thursdays in Rm. 29, and Mr. Louro is available on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30 pm. You can email Mrs. Olsen or Mr. Louro with any questions.

First Responder Leadership: If you are interested in joining the First Responder Leadership Team for next year, please let your counselor know - applications/interviews coming soon! 

There are a limited number of 2023 Escalon High yearbooks left to pre-order and will be sold on a first-come first served basis. Once sold out, we will not be able to have extras printed. Buy yours before it’s too late at yearbookordercenter.com with the school code: 7631. Email Mrs.Fanjul at [email protected] if you’re unsure if you’ve bought one.  

Due to the extended deadline, the yearbook is running behind on interviews. If you handed in your application, please be on the lookout for an interview appointment next week. If you still need to hand in your application, you can bring it to room 6 or ask the front office to keep it.

Senior News

Attention ALL Seniors- Have you committed to a college or post secondary program for the fall? Visit the Senior Google classroom and let us know where you are going so we can proudly display your name on a pennant in the hallway.

Seniors - There are still scholarships available.  Check the list on the bulletin board near the ASB office or on the ASB office door to see what’s still available.  They are sorted by the due date.  Karen Nunes in the ASB office can help you with any questions.  ***NEWLY AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIP***Get the application from Mrs. Nunes for the Schmidt-Schuckman=Boyles Memorial Scholarship.  It’s for students who are associated with Heritage Church or Escalon Presbyterian Church.

Disney Grad Nite is at full capacity: Remember, even if you have a spot on the trip, to attend you must be eligible.  This includes gpa, behavior, and school dues to be up to paid and up to date.  

Jostens cap and gown orders can be picked up in the front office. Please come by during break, lunch, or after school only.
