Escalon High School Daily Bulletin

Going to PROM? Contracts for EHS students and guests are available in the rack  on the wall by the office and in the library.   Prom is May 6, 2023 from 7-10:30pm.  Only a little over 200 tickets are available, so please don’t delay getting your tickets.  The ticket prices for EHS Students and non-EHS Guests are: $65 thru March 24, $70 thru April 6, and $85 thru April 19.  Tickets will be available to purchase at the ASB office or online after the completed contracts are turned in to the ASB office.  Guest contracts are due no later than April 3 at 3:10pm.  The last day to purchase tickets is April 19 at 3:10pm.

Congratulations to Nikolai Lorenzo for taking first place in the Lions Club Speaking Contest last night.  He’ll represent Escalon High School at the region level in Linden on April 13.

PIT APPLICATIONS ARE OUT!: Are you interested in joining the Peer Interaction Team? PIT Applications are now available! See a PIT student or come to Room 12 for an application! An informational meeting will be held on Thursday, March 9, during lunch in Room 12.

Art Club Meeting 3/7 at Lunch in Room 40

After School Tutoring & Study Hall is open after school: Mrs. Olsen is available from 3:15-4:15 pm on Mondays and Thursdays in Rm. 29, and Mr. Louro is available on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30pm. You can email Mrs. Olsen or Mr. Louro with any questions.

First Responder Leadership: EHS first responders competed in their first ever event at the Stanislaus County Occupational bowl. Escalon high was the only school from San Joaquin County to compete. In the Fire Candidate competition consisting of a written exam, turnout/SCBA drills, throwing ladders, knot tying, tool recognition, 150 lb dummy drag and ventilation techniques. Your Cougars brought home the gold winning as a team overall. Claiming 5 of the top 8 winning spots.  In 6th Place Wesley Keane, 5th Luke Oliver, 4th Cody Parker, 3rd Blaise Murrillo and overall Stanislaus County Champion Colton Page secured the  1st Place Title! Great job Fire Science Team you set the bar high for future generations to come, EHS is extremely proud of you!   

There are a limited number of 2023 Escalon High yearbooks left to pre-order and will be sold on a first-come first served basis. Once sold out, we will not be able to have extras printed. The GSA club photo HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED to Thursday, March 9th at lunch. Club members, please plan to be present that day and wear rainbow colors!

 

Senior News

Seniors looking for scholarships…Scholarship opportunities are closing each day.  If you haven’t already, please stop by and see Mrs. Nunes in the ASB office.  She’ll help make the scholarship process easier.

Seniors interested in applying to Delta College We will be hosting an application workshop on Friday, March 3rd. Please visit the Senior Google Classroom and complete the form to reserve your spot.

Seniors planning to attend MJC--- We will be taking buses to tour both MJC West and East Campus, going over education plans, and getting student ID cards on March 16, 2023. You must have applied to MJC prior to attending this! If you would like to attend, please go to the Senior Google classroom to sign up using the google form. 

Please stop by and talk about scholarships with Mrs. Nunes in the ASB office.  There are scholarships for everyone.  Don’t miss out on getting some money for your education.  Scholarships are closing every day.  Let’s talk soon.

Disney Grad Nite is at full capacity: there is a waitlist available if you’d like to join. You will receive an email from WeTravel if an opening occurs. 

Attn FFA Members: If you are attending the state FFA conference, there is a mandatory meeting Thursday, March 2nd at Lunch in RM 25. 

There will be a mandatory Swine Meeting on Tuesday March 7th, at lunch in Room 38.

 

Jostens will be on our campus on March 7th during lunch to deliver previously ordered merchandise. They will also be available to take new orders as well.
