Wednesday, January 18, is Trades Day at Stanislaus County Fairgrounds. Trades day is designed to introduce high school youth to a variety of career opportunities in the industry, including general construction, sub-contracting, suppliers, heavy equipment, engineering, as well as other related trades. This event is open to all grade levels. To register, go to the School Counseling website. Escalon Rotary has a speech contest that YOU can participate in!  Top 3 winners will receive $125, $100 & $75.  Spots are limited.  Please see Karen in the ASB office to sign up or get more information no later than January 27.

Attention Students: Are you interested in a part-time job? "Basketball Refs are needed for the City of Escalon's youth basketball program! Games will be on Saturdays in January and February. To apply, or for more information, please call City Hall at (209) 691-7405.

Are you interested in taking College Courses while in high school? MJC offers tuition-free classes to high school students year-round. See the counseling page on our school website for a full list of classes and information on how to sign up. 

After School Tutoring & Study Hall is open starting tomorrow after school: Mrs. Olsen is available from 3:15-4:15 pm on Mondays and Thursdays in Rm. 29, and Mr. Louro is available on Wednesdays from 3:15-5pm. You can email Mrs. Olsen or Mr. Louro with any questions.

CSF- There will be a brief meeting in room 34 on Thursday Jan 19th. The spring application is available in google classroom plus we will go over several upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Attention all photo club members: There is a meeting Wednesday January 18th in Room 40 at lunch, we will be taking yearbook pictures as well as discussing volunteering for the color run.

First Responder Leadership: The First Responder Leadership Team presents the very First Annual “Mr. Cougar Pageant”.  This is a fun and exciting event for both contestants and guests. All proceeds will go towards an educational scholarship opportunity for our students. Are you an absolute competitor? Juniors & Seniors do you have leadership, stage presence and quality character? Do you shine on the field, courts or in the classroom? If this sounds like you, we are looking for the best of the best, a dapper gentleman, creme de la creme, the elite, the biggest, baddest …. The GOAT of Escalon High to be named “MR. Cougar 2023”.  Contestant applications are available in Station 41, and due on Monday Jan 16th. Please see Mr. or Mrs. Davis for details.

GSA is meeting Thursday, 1/19, at lunch in room 15. We need to make posters and finalize our February fundraiser. 

Blood Drive- The Spring blood drive is scheduled for Feb 16th. Students, staff and community members  16 years-old  or older can sign up at the following link (blood drive sign ups). Senior News

There are 5 scholarships due to ASB January 24: John Hawkins, AARP, Ruth Baymiller, Harry & Dorothy Tilbury, and Warren and Mary Hall.  Please get your applications turned in for these scholarships.

Please stop by and talk about scholarships with Mrs. Nunes in the ASB office.  There are scholarships for everyone.  Don’t miss out on getting some money for your education.  Scholarships are closing every day.  Let’s talk soon.

Disney Grad Nite registration is still open!! UPDATE: There are only 35 spots left for the trip.   You must register by February 1st in order to reserve a spot.  If you register now, it will state that you are waitlisted.  This is just the way the travel system registers until we have the numbers to fill another bus.  There will be an announcement on social media and in this bulletin when the trip is officially full.  Grad Nite will be held Friday, May 19-Saturday, May 20.
