Escalon High School Daily Bulletin


 

Announcement-January 18th and January 25th are Mondays and are non-school days for students. Students will not have “in-person” or “distance learning” classes on these days. Therefore Wednesday, January 20 and Wednesday, January 27 will be “in-person’ learning days, meaning students that attend “in-person” will attend school on campus these days. Students who participate in “distance learning’ will attend online. The Bell Schedule for those days will be posted soon.

 

Attention all student-athletes.  The annual physical night has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 19th, at Escalon High School.  The event will take place from 5-7pm in the EHS cafeteria.  The cost is $20.  All student-athletes that want to participate in a sport this school year must have a valid physical on file with the athletic department.  In an effort to minimize the number of people on campus, only those students receiving a physical that evening will be allowed to attend. Everyone on campus that evening will be required to wear a mask and physical distancing measures will be enforced.  Those student-athletes who are on quarantine from school on that date will not be allowed to attend.

 

Attention all girls (JV and Varsity) interested in playing softball this year.  There will be an important informational meeting next Thursday, 1/14, at 1pm at the Varsity softball field.  Masks and physical distancing will be required. Any student that is doing distance learning and cannot attend the meeting should email Mr. Bartelink.

 

Attention all boys interested in golfing this year.  There will be an important informational meeting on Thursday, 1/21, at 1pm, just outside of Room 27.  Masks and physical distancing will be required.  Any student that is doing distance learning and cannot attend the meeting should email Mr. Bartelink.  

 

Zoom Rotary Speech Contest opportunity February 4 at 8pm! Cash prizes will be awarded to students placing first, second, and third.  Please contact Karen Nunes in the ASB office for more information and to sign up.  

 

Our Online Store is “open” and has lots of items available at www.escalonhigh.org under the Families section.  Fire/EMT t-shirts with front and back designs are now available.  Only $10.00 each, a few 2019-20 Yearbooks are still available, 2020-21 Yearbooks, Yearbook Nameplates, Yearbook Dedication Ads, and Business Ads.  If you have any questions about setting up an online account to make your purchase, feel free to call Karen Nunes in the ASB office at 209-691-9858.

 

Seniors- Do you still need to submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) go to the senior class of 2020-21 google classroom for Zoom workshop dates and times.

 

Distance Learning Students: We may have shirts for you to pick up - Students of all grades, if you ordered a class shirt online and haven’t picked it up yet or if you are a senior who hasn’t come to pick up the AWESOME shirts that were generously donated to EVERY 12th-grade student, please call Karen Nunes at 209-691-9858 to schedule an appointment to pick up your shirt.  Thank you!

 

Seniors- There are FIVE SCHOLARSHIPS due January 15.  You can find them on the Google Drive “Scholarship List” that was shared with you.  Please contact Karen Nunes if you have any questions or need help with scholarships.

 

Seniors- New scholarship!!.  California Retired Teachers Association is offering a scholarship for students who are planning on a teaching career.

 

Have you considered establishing a scholarship for Escalon High School students?  You can do it as ongoing or offer it one time.  You can manage the funds and decide how much the scholarship is for.  Please call or email Karen Nunes if you are interested in learning more.

Horario Escolar




Anunció: el 18 y el 25 de enero son lunes y no son días escolares para los estudiantes. Los estudiantes no tendrán clases “en persona” o “aprendizaje a distancia” en estos días. Por lo tanto, el miércoles 20 y el miércoles 27 de enero serán días de aprendizaje "en persona", lo que significa que los estudiantes que asistan "en persona" asistirán a la escuela estos días. Los estudiantes que participan en el "aprendizaje a distancia" asistirán en línea. El horario de la campana para esos días se publicará.



Atención a todos los estudiantes-deportistas. La noche física anual ha sido reprogramada para el martes 19 de enero en la escuela de Escalón High. El evento se llevará a cabo de 5 a 7 pm en la cafetería de EHS. El costo es de $20. Todos los estudiantes-atletas que quieran participar en un deporte este año escolar deben tener un examen físico válido en el archivo del departamento de deportes. En un esfuerzo por minimizar la cantidad de personas en la escuela, solo los estudiantes que reciban un examen físico esa noche podrán asistir. Todos en la escuela esa noche deberán usar una máscara y se aplicarán medidas de distancia física. Aquellos estudiantes-atletas que estén en cuarentena de la escuela en esa fecha no podrán asistir.

 

Atención a todas las muchachas (JV y Varsity) interesadas en jugar softbol este año. Habrá una reunión informativa importante el próximo jueves 14 de enero a la 1:00 pm en el campo de softbol del equipo universitario. Se requerirán máscaras y distanciamiento físico.
