Congratulations to the Varsity boys basketball team for their victory against Hughson last night on senior night.  Thank you to everyone that came and showed support last night and all season long. Make the trip to Hilmar on Friday night for a huge game.

Attention all student-athletes interested in playing a spring sport...make sure you are cleared online before the spring season begins. 

Attention Cougar Leaders! Are you interested in joining the ASB Leadership team for the 2020-2021 school year? There will be an informational meeting at lunch in room 13 on Tuesday, February 25. Applications will be available at this meeting, so be there if you plan to apply!

It’s ME, MARIO!. Do you have an old Nintendo Wii that you are not using?  Mrs. Rissetto in Room 20 is looking for a Nintendo Wii Donation. Please bring any Wii hardware or Wii games to Room 20.

Seniors we've secured a third bus for Disneyland, so there are 10 spots open!! Get your permission slip and trip info at the ASB window or outside room 13! If you haven’t made your payment that was due February 2, you’ll need to pay this week.  Those who haven’t paid the February payment are at risk of getting moved to a “waitlist”.  Sign-ups END tomorrow, FEBRUARY 14, no exceptions!

The Friends Helping Friends Club will have their Valentine party this TODAY in room 24 during lunch. Come have a good time!

Want some help with one of your classes? Want a space to finish a homework assignment? Peer Tutoring is available in Room 34 during lunch every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Stop by today! 

Seniors...are you planning on getting your TEACHING CREDENTIAL?  The California Retired Teachers Association offers a scholarship for that!  It’s due to the ASB office on February 21. Check Naviance for more information.

Seniors...are you HUNGRY...for a scholarship?  Check out the PB&J Scholarship in Naviance.  The student who founded this scholarship is from the same high school Mrs. Swann graduated from.  This scholarship is for students who don’t necessarily have the best test scores or GPA, but who have the drive to succeed.

Senior student-athletes...check out the Grant and Jason Arnold memorial scholarship.  This is a great opportunity for students who meet the criteria.  Grant and Jason were father and son, both amazing athletes. Their family started this scholarship in their memory.

Looking for more scholarships? Check out the binder of scholarships that you apply directly to.  Some new ones are the Oakdale Irrigation District, awarding 4 $2500 scholarships and a few for students of Filipino heritage, Asian heritage, or Portuguese heritage, as well as some for Catholic students, or students who are members of Escalon Presbyterian Church or Escalon Covenant Church, and many more.

Film Club: Film Club is looking for a few students to be extras for our next film! If you are interested, come see Mr. T or speak to one of our Film Club officers.

Calling all crafty and artistic students! Drama club is in need of a Stage crew to help build our sets, propmasters to manage and create props and costume designers to help make our costumes. If you are interested, please sign-up on the list on the main hall bulletin board. If you have any questions, talk to Ms. Headley or Mrs. Anserlian.

Animal Shelter Collection Jars: The FFA Chapter officers are collecting funds for the local animal shelter.  Each 4th-period class has a jar, the class with the most money donated on Feb 14th will win a pizza party.  

PSATs for Freshman and Sophomore students will be on sale until Wednesday  2/26/20. The 9th-grade PSAT will cost $12 and will be on the 23rd of April and the 10th-grade PSAT will cost $17 and be on the 24th of April.  Please see Karen Nunes in the ASB office to purchase your test.  

Seniors, are you interested in a career in auto and diesel repair, auto bodywork, or Welding?  A representative from UTI in Sacramento will be in the counseling center on the 25th of February during lunch.  Please see Ms. Liz in the counseling center asap to sign up.
