Winter Formal is tomorrow night!! Pick up your picture forms outside the main office!. Pictures begin @ 5:00, and end around 9:30pm.. Dance is from 8-11:30pm Doors close at 9:00 pm, so make sure you are on time!  Don’t forget to bring your formal ticket! Any additional questions, see Mrs. Gentry.

Attention all student-athletes currently participating in a winter sport...if you were on the most recent ineligibility list published yesterday, you may apply for Academic Probation by picking up an application in the hallway next to the office.  The deadline to submit the application is Tuesday, January 14th, at 3:05 pm.

REMINDER…..The library will be closing today, January 10th at 1:00 PM please plan accordingly.

Attention all student-athletes interested in playing a spring sport...make sure you are cleared online before the spring season begins.

Attention all Photo and Art club members, we will be taking a group picture in the theater for the yearbook, it will be brief and please report to the theater at lunch on Friday

Attention all boys interested in playing golf this spring...there will be a player and parent meeting on Tuesday, January 21st, at 6 pm , in Room 27.  There will be a sign-up list in the office later this week.

Howdy, y’all! Have you ever wanted to be a Cowboy or Cowgirl? Well, now’s your chance! Come to room 6 THIS Thursday for auditions for EHS Drama’s Spring production of Much Ado Out West. 

There will be a mandatory track meeting coming up next Tuesday the 14th at lunch in room 2. If you are even a teensy bit interested in doing track this year, please write your name down and get the paperwork.

ALL SENIORS, have you completed your FAFSA, Free Application for Federal Student Aid?  We will be having a FAFSA makeup workshop on Thursday, January 23rd by appointment only.  Please sign up in the counseling center ASAP with Mrs. Nunes.  

Hamilton, Information Packet now available. WRITTEN PERFORMANCE PIECE AND TICKET COST IS DUE BY JANUARY 29th. VPA has secured 30 tickets on Wednesday, March 18th for a special Hamilton Performance and Hamilton Cast meet & greet.  Come see Mrs. Rissetto in Room 20 to pick up an information packet. 

Seniors - You can order online for Jostens at www.jostens.com. If you have any questions please call Jostens at 800-567-8367. Prices go up in January.  An additional $10 handling fee will apply for orders placed after December 31 and an expediting fee for shipping will apply if you wait too long to place your order.

WAKEY,  WAKEY!!!!, That is the name of the upcoming play for VPA to go see in San Francisco on January 31st. This is a Comedy Performance, Tickets are $20 plus the cost of BART. See Mrs. Rissetto in Room 20.

If you plan to go to Grad Nite at Disneyland, there are only 5 spots left!! Get your deposit and permission slip in ASAP. Turn everything into the ASB window. If you haven’t made your payment that was due December 2, you’ll need to pay this week.  Those who haven’t paid the December payment are at risk of getting moved to a “waitlist”.  The last payment of $100 is due February 3! 

Want some help with one of your classes? Want a space to finish a homework assignment? Peer Tutoring is available in Room 34 during lunch every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Stop by today!

The yearbook price has increased to $85.00.  If you’re not sure if you’ve bought yours, please check the posted list outside the ASB Office.  You can purchase yearbooks in person at the ASB Office via check or cash, or you can go to the online store at www.escalonhigh.org; then go to Families, then Online Store.  You can call Karen Nunes at the ASB Office if you need help with making your online purchase.

Juniors & Seniors: Kaiser Permanente is offering a paid Summer Youth Employment Program.  You must have a current work permit, valid photo ID, and have proof of eligibility to work in the United States.  Please see your counselor for more information. 

Seniors...Planning to apply for scholarships?  Please see Mrs. Nunes in the ASB Office if you need any applications.

Rotary Speech Contest: The Escalon Sunrise Rotary will be conducting its annual speech contest on January 31st. The topic this year is “Connecting with the World Through Leadership & Service.” The top three speakers will win $75, $100 and $125. Interested students can pick up an information sheet and sign up with Mrs. Baldwin in room 30. 

There are only 2 openings available for the Lion’s Club Speaking Contest.  Please see Mrs. Nunes in the ASB office if you want to secure one of the openings.  

 Sober Grad Drive-Thru Tri-Tip Dinner will be held on January 25, 2020. Tickets are $45 until January 19th and $50 after. Seniors may sell tickets and/or help at the dinner to offset their cost of the Sober Grad Ticket. Please contact Renee Snow at (209)602-3241 for tickets, information regarding selling tickets or helping at the dinner.
