If you are in the most recent ineligibility list, the deadline to apply for Academic Probation is 3:05pm on Wednesday, November 6th.  You may pick up an application in the hallway by the office and turn it in to Mr. Bartelink or the office.

ATTENTION- Students leaving for the VIVA MOMIX PLAY should be in the front of the school by the flag pole right now.

Attention all students planning on playing a winter sport. Make sure your physical is up to date and you get cleared on www.athleticlearance.com. This includes uploading a copy of your physical on the website.  You will not be able to start practicing until you are cleared online.  

If anyone is interested in keeping the scorebook for the boys’ basketball program, please contact a member of the coaching staff.

Girls Basketball Tryouts: Monday, November 4th. Juniors and Seniors 3:30-5:30 New Gym & Freshmen and Sophomores 5:30-7:30 Old Gym

An admission counselor from the University of the Pacific will be on campus on November 5th.  If interested in meeting with the admission counselor to discuss the admission process, please sign up in the counseling center. 

Do you know a veteran or someone currently serving in the military? Submit their name to room 13 so we can honor them during this year's Veterans Day assembly on November 8. 

The ASB Office will be closed all day on Wednesday, October 30. It will be open on Thursday,October 31.

The Friends Helping Friends Club will have their annual Halloween Party in room 24 this Thursday during lunch. Please join us!

Seniors! There are still a few class shirts available. Stop by room 13 to purchase one for $15. Also, don’t wait to turn in your Disneyland Grad Nite registration form and deposit to the ASB window!! Space is limited so grab your packet from room 13 ASAP. Deposits are due November 4!!

100 Years shirts are still available for $5 with an ID in room 13! 

AP tests are being sold in the ASB office now through November 15.  Checks are accepted until November 7, then cash only from November 8-15.

AP exams are now available for purchase. Please See Karen Nunes for payment and registration. The deadline to purchase an exam or cancel an exam purchase is November 15th. See Mr. Furtado for any questions or concerns

Want some help with one of your classes? Want a space to finish a homework assignment? Peer Tutoring is available in Room 34 during lunch every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Stop by today! 

Wrestlers:.

  • All wrestlers without a physical Dr. Leyhan will provide a free physical Today Wednesday 3-4:30 on 10/30 in the wrestling room.
  • Practice starts mon. 3:20 in the wrestling room

Students interested in being a tutor to students from Elementary, Jr High, or EHS please come by the counseling center to apply.  

Attention Senior Athletes interested in playing a sport at MJC.  MJC Athletics will be hosting a Senior Athlete Day & Lunch on Saturday, December 7th. Students must register to participate. The counseling center has flyers with more information. Seats are limited - Reserve a spot today! 

A local couple is looking for a student interested in getting some community service hours doing yard work.  Please see Ms. Liz in the counseling center for more information.  

KEY CLUB A big thank you to all the Key Clubbers and Drama class members that helped at Fridays Harvest festivals and haunted house. Your hard work and help was appreciated by all that attended. It was a fun way to give back to the community.

Interact: The Interact Club is now collecting new and gently used stuffed animals. Boxes will be in designated classrooms now through November 8th. All donations will be taken by Rotary to disadvantaged children overseas.

SPORTS - Week at a Glance 

 

Just a reminder that baby powder or like substance cannot be thrown during football games per TVL rules. Anyone throwing powder will receive harsh discipline.


Congrats to the Varsity boys  cross country team for placing 7th at the Mt. SAC invite on Friday. Gabe, Juan, and Braiden were in the top twenty runners in the race. All three posted times in the 17s for a very hilly course. Briana Briones placed 5th in the varsity girls race.

JV/V Football vs. Hughson, 5:00/7:00 (senior night) This game will be a PINK out to honor the memory of senior cheerleader Joana Vazquez whose favorite color was pink.


Girls soccer will be conditioning Monday and Tuesday 3:30-4:30 and Wednesday 3:00-4:00.  Meet out at the soccer fields. Please make sure you have your physical and clearance done.  Tryouts will be next week on November 4.
