Escalon High School Daily Bulletin

A New Skateboard rack for locking up your board has been installed outside the AG building. Please purchase a lock and plan to start using this rack. We will no longer be storing boards as of Monday in the main office.  

Attention all fall-student athletes.  If you are ineligible based on the ineligibility list that just came out, you may apply for Academic Probation.  The deadline to submit the application is Wednesday, September 25th at 3:05pm. You can pick up an application from your coach or from the office.

Football Fans!! The Cougar Cage is headed to the football game at Hilmar this Friday at 5pm!! $5 gets you pizza and a ride to and from the game on a charter bus. Spots are limited to the first 50 students that turn in their permission slip and pay their $5 to the ASB window. Sign ups start TODAY at lunch and end Wednesday after school. Grab your white Cougar gear and join us for an exciting night! A game ticket is not included in the $5. Stop by room 13 to grab a permission slip today!!

Homecoming is NEXT WEEK!! To celebrate the 100th year of Escalon High, this years theme is "Escalon Through the Decades." Dress up days for next week are as follows:

Monday- wear your favorite band tee

Tuesday- soc's vs. greasers (dress preppy like a social or rebellious like a greaser)

Wednesday- dress up like your favorite movie character

Thursday- grunge vs hippie (freshmen and sophomores dress in grunge, juniors and seniors dress like a hippie)

Friday- Class colors (freshmen are yellow, sophomores are purple, juniors are white, seniors are black)

The Homecoming Night Rally is Thursday, October 3 at 7pm in the gym. The homecoming parade is Friday, October 4 at 2:30 downtown and your 2019 Homecoming Queen will be announced during halftime of the varsity game which starts at 7pm next Friday.

At this time, please take a moment to vote for your top 5 Queen candidates. Visit the website: escalon.voting4schools.com. Your username is your student ID number, and the password is escalon. Voting is TODAY only from 7am-4pm. Your 2019 Homecoming Queen Candidates will be announced Friday at the end of 1st period.

Class of 2020- There is a meeting today, September 24th, during lunch in Room 2. 

 

Photo Club- There will be a meeting today Wednesday 25th at lunch in room 40 all who will be going on the field trip to Yosemite must attend.

 

Just a reminder that baby powder or like substance cannot be thrown during football games per TVL rules. Anyone throwing powder will receive harsh discipline.

Seniors! There are still a few class shirts available. Stop by room 13 to purchase one for $15. 

AP Tests will be on sale in the ASB office starting October 1.  Price is $74 per test ordered unless you have a waiver.  Cash and check payments will be accepted until November 7.  November 8-15 cash only payments will be accepted. November 15 is the last day to purchase an AP test.  Pink order forms are available just outside of the ASB Office. Have the order form filled out when you come to the ASB window to pay.  Get your tests early to avoid long lines. Check payments for AP tests must be made payable to “EUSD” please.

JUNIORS- PSAT tests are now being sold in the counseling center for $17. The test date is Wednesday, October 16, 2019. There is only a limited amount available.  So get yours before they sell out.  

Want some help with one of your classes? Want a space to finish a homework assignment? Peer Tutoring is available in Room 34 during lunch every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Stop by today!¡

We have more new Scholarships to consider! The Escalon Sunrise Rotary Scholarship.  This is a local scholarship and a good one for all Seniors to apply for.  

Attention boys soccer players.  If you are interested in playing there will be a meeting at the beginning of lunch in room 31..

Seniors...do you have a 3.0 or higher GPA?  Could you write a short essay about Who or What defines who YOU are?  If so, please apply for the Escalon Unified Teachers Association Scholarship today!

If you are interested in seeing Hamilton in San Francisco on November 6th, come and see Mrs. Rissetto in Room 20.  

Attention all students planning on playing a winter sport. Make sure your physical is up to date and you get cleared on www.athleticlearance.com. You will not be able to start practicing until you are cleared online.

Fall Wrestling Practice will be today at 5:30 in the wrestling room.  Make sure you have completed the online clearance before coming to practice.
