Please submit all questions (plot, characterization, setting, etc) that you need answered here.

We were just told we need to have weekly contact as "attendance" during distance learning. You answering this question is my way of taking attendance. It will also go into your participation grade. If you don't want to submit an answer, just write "pass." But please write something BEFORE the deadline. If you submit after the deadline it will be a zero and an "absence."
Due:
Each slide in the presentation is meant to be ONE day of class. Please write your answers directly into the text boxes. If you don't have access to digital resources, the district is finding a way to get you hard copies of this.

Those that are feeling stressed mostly have this in common: there isn't necessarily more work, it's just that it's 100% on your own for all classes. I am REALLY trying to make this as easy as possible (and I can't just do nothing). So, please let me know your preference below. For English (I can't control any other classes), is it easier to receive a weeks worth of assignments to complete at your own convenience by a specific deadline? Or does that lead to procrastination and trying to do 5 days worth of assignments in one day? Should I assign daily lessons instead? I do want you to know that I've scaled WAAAY back on what I normally do for our next unit, so please be encouraged, but let me know if you prefer a week of assignments at a time, or daily assignments for English.
Due:
Answer this question by the end of the day Monday please.

Please read Act II, Scenes 2 and 3 of Romeo and Juliet. You can use the No Fear Shakespeare book online to see original text and modern text. You can read individually, in your groups, or you can assign parts out like we’ve been doing as a class. Work together to figure it out. Once you finish reading both scenes, you need to answer the questions on the Act II assignment on google classroom. The No Fear Shakespeare-Romeo and Juliet link is https://www.sparknotes.com/nofear/shakespeare/romeojuliet/page_78/ where you can find both the Shakespeare language and modern language of the play. **EDIT added after lesson plan was made—Mr. Beeman is the sub today and he used to teach this course. Let him take the lead if he wants (Act II, Scene 2 is iconic, so he might want to change it up to actually teach it in my absence). Whatever the case, he knows Shakespeare, so you cannot have the excuse tomorrow that you didn’t understand the text and the sub wasn’t helpful :) Have fun! **

The speech outline (this assignment) is due Monday 10/21 by the end of class. Tuesday will be spent practicing and preparing note cards for your speech. Wednesday (after STAR) we will practice more. Speeches will start Thursday 10/24.
Due:
Go to page 148 in your textbook. Read pages 148-149 and takes notes of the information provided. Be sure to know the bold words, and understand the differences between points of view. Once your notes are done, and you've completed the practice assignment on page 149, submit the assignment.
Due:
Choose one quote from your outside reading book and complete the dialectical journal by analyzing that quote. Due Monday before class starts.

If you could be invisible for 10 minutes, what school appropriate thing would you do?
