Attention SENIORS: changes to MJC dates. MJC will be here for the assessment/advisor workshop on Thurs, March 14 and the Ed Plan workshop has been changed from Tues. Feb. 5th to Thurs. March 28th.  If you have any questions contact Ms. S in the counseling center.

Juniors & Seniors interested in applying for an 8 week paid internship this summer, please come pick up a flyer in the counseling center. Applications are due February 1, 2019 so don’t wait!  

The Winter Homecoming Dance deadline has been extended!! Contracts will be accepted and tickets will be sold until THURSDAY at 3:30.  The dance will start at 9 on Friday, after the basketball game, and will end at 11:30. Tickets are $7 at the ASB window. You must have all signatures on your contract before you can purchase a ticket. Tickets are PRESALE only!!

PSAT TEST- Sophomores and Freshmen tests are on sale now in the counseling center. SOPHOMORE test date is Tuesday Feb. 26, 2019 and the cost is $16  FRESHMAN test date is Thursday Feb. 28, 2019 and the cost is $11. Only 2 Sophomore spots left!!

12th graders attention!  If you missed EHS Financial Aid Night and you need help filling out and submitting your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Calif. Dream Act Application (CADAA), MJC is available to help Mon-Fri from 8am-6pm.  Locations at both campuses: East Campus, Student Services Building West Campus, Yosemite Hall.

For all EHS students and teachers: The FFA officer team is collecting donations for the local animal shelter as a community service project.  Each classroom has a jar, the 4th period class that raises the most money will be winning a pizza party! The collection will end on Friday February 15th.

If you like to write, make sure to enter the school wide writing contest.  See your English teacher for details.

12th grade Ag Students…the EHS Ag Parent Boosters  have a scholarship for you! This is for students who are planning on an agriculture major.  More details in Naviance or see Mrs. Nunes in ASB to get an application.

Hispanic or Latino 12th grade students..the the Amigos Unidos scholarship is available to you!  It must be postmarked February 28, 2019. Please see Mrs. Nunes in ASB to request an application.  Apply direct.

Seniors – we have a few past due payments for Grad Bash! If you have not made your January payment, please do so ASAP! The final Grad Bash payment is due February 15.  We still have a couple of Grad Bash tickets available, stop by room 13 or the ASB office for more info.

Come join the EHS Music Program on Thursday, February 7th at the EHS Theater for the first ever Cougar Coffee House! Tickets are $5 which include a live concert with coffee, hot chocolate, and sweet desserts! You may swing by room 16 to purchase tickets or pay at the door. Concert will feature small chamber groups and soloists. Hope to see you there!

Congratulations to the Academic Decathlon Team for taking 3rd Place in the Club Division at the San Joaquin County Competition. Team members included: Gloria Rodriguez, Christian Davalos, Sherry Tseng, Joseph Meneses, Mason Hernandez, Mya Beary, Ian Gregg, Ernesto Perez, and Jakob Hunter. Some notable accomplishments include: Mya Beary finished 7th in Interview, Joseph Meneses finished 6th and Gloria Rodriguez 8th in Speech, and Sherry Tseng finished 9th in Essay, with Gloria Rodriguez winning a Bronze Medal for her 3rd place essay. Gloria also finished 4th overall, and narrowly missed winning an Individual Overall Medal. Congratulate the team members when you see them, and see Mr. Cohen if you want any more information.
