The Escalon Recreation Department is looking for soccer referees for the 2018 Escalon Youth Soccer season. Games are on Saturdays only beginning August 11th – October 6th. Applicants must have prior soccer experience, apply at Escalon City Hall, 2060 McHenry Ave.

ATTENTION 18 YR OLDS! Attendance for 18 Yr Olds are being reviewed. Please make sure that if you are checking yourself in or out, that  you have a legitimate reason to clear your absences.

FCA – There will be a Fellowship of Christian Athletes pizza lunch meeting on Thursday in room 10. We will be featuring a guest speaker. You do not need to be an athlete to attend – everyone is welcome. Join us for lunch on Thursday.

Seniors! All Saturday School Hours must be cleared prior to Graduation or you will not be participating in the Graduation ceremony.

Summer School- All students in need of Summer School please come see your counselor in the Counseling Center. If you are not sure come see your Counselor.

Good morning!  If you received an invitation to the Senior Awards Night.  This is an IMPORTANT announcement...You MUST have RSVP by May 17 to Mrs. Nunes and let her know if you are attending (or not attending) Senior Award Night,  If you aren’t going, the presenters will not need to come and need to be notified. If you don’t RSVP, you will not have a reserved seat and won’t be admitted to the event, as your presenter will not be there to present your award.   Please come to the ASB office to RSVP by Thursday. The ASB office is closed this Friday.

If you are attending Senior Awards Night on May 23, feel free to bring water to drink and let your guests know they can bring water too.  No other refreshments are allowed, but we want you and your guests to be comfortable, so water is acceptable.  Cookies and water will be provided at the end of the evening in the cafeteria.

Sober Grad: Tickets are $40 now and will be $45 at the door.  Tickets may be purchased in the library. You must turn in the signed permission form to purchase a ticket..

Senior Sunset is Friday, May 25 from 7-9pm at the football field. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on and cash for the taco truck and movie snacks.

Track:Track athletes, please be sure to wash your jersey and turn it in to room 2 before school is out!

Attention Cougars looking for a job: If you are 18 years old, have a driver’s license, and are looking for a summer job please come see Mrs. P in the Counseling Center for more information.  

AP Biology – If you are considering taking AP Biology, and missed the meeting, please see Mrs. Gentry for information about the class,  and your summer assignment. Also, please turn in AP contracts by this Friday. Thanks!

Debate Club – 2018-2019 Debate Club officer applications must be turned in to Ms. H in room 15 by this Friday, May 25.

AP PHYSICS- we are having a meeting this Wednesday at lunch in room 25. I know the schedule is shifting a little so if you are interested in AP physics but not sure it will fit in your schedule come to the meeting just in case and hear about the class.

Yearbooks will be distributed today in the library hallway for Seniors only, and then Wednesday through Friday for all classes.  Extra signature pages will also be on sale for $1 each.


SPORTS – Week at a Glance                        

Boys soccer will have a meeting this Thursday at lunch in Room 31 to discuss summer practices.  Please plan on attending at the beginning of lunch as the meeting with be very short.

*Girls Varsity Softball team won the D5 Section Championship this past Saturday. They beat Hilmar 6-0 after winning all of their 3 playoff games (and a come from behind win against Linden last Thursday night).
