THE WENDEL ELIASON AWARD: Every year we honor a senior in memory of Wendel Eliason, a fallen hometown hero.

Wendell Eliason was a graduate of Escalon High School, a standout student and athlete, killed in Vietnam when his helicopter was shot down on March 31, 1965. He was 24 years old and was the first from this area to give his life in Vietnam.
Each year, one graduating senior is selected to receive the award named in his memory. The student must exhibit the qualities of citizenship, leadership, conduct and service that Eliason was known for during his life. Please vote now for the senior that you feel best fits the qualities that the Wendel Eliason Award represents on Voting4schools.com. Voting will be open all day Monday and Tuesday until 3:05 pm. User ID is your Student ID and password is escalon (all lowercase).
