Seniors your name verification form for your diploma are due by this TODAY, 01-31. Make sure to drop them in the main office.

Juniors & Seniors interested in applying for an 8 week paid internship this summer, please come pick up a flyer in the counseling center. Applications are due February 1, 2019 so don’t wait!  

Track- If you were not able to make the meeting make sure you see Mr. Bower in room 34 or Mr. Anserlian in room 2 to get the paperwork and sign up. There are more copies for those who did not receive one.

SAVE THE DATE! Winter Homecoming Dance will be Friday, February 8 from 9-11:30 pm after the basketball game! Tickets are on sales now!! Pick up a contract in room 13, at the ASB window, or the library. You must have all signatures before you can purchase a ticket. Tickets are PRESALE only and will only be sold through next Tuesday, February 5 at 3:30pm, so don’t wait!

PSAT TEST- Sophomores and Freshmen tests are on sale now in the counseling center. SOPHOMORE test date is Tuesday Feb. 26, 2019 and the cost is $16  FRESHMAN test date is Thursday Feb. 28, 2019 and the cost is $11.

12th graders attention!  If you missed EHS Financial Aid Night and you need help filling out and submitting your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Calif. Dream Act Application (CADAA), MJC is available to help Mon-Fri from 8am-6pm.  Locations at both campuses: East Campus, Student Services Building West Campus, Yosemite Hall.

Film Club – There will be a Film Club meeting this Friday during lunch in Room 12. We will be discussing our next movie night, our film, and other video projects for the second semester. Be there!

GSA– Club meeting during lunch today 1/31 in Room 14.

Attention FFA members: On Friday 2/1 there will be a mandatory sheep and goat meeting in room 36.  This meeting can not be missed, you will be receiving fair contracts and farm contracts.  We will be going over important fair information.

For all EHS students and teachers: The FFA officer team is collecting donations for the local animal shelter as a community service project.  Each classroom has a jar, the 4th period class that raises the most money will be winning a pizza party! The collection will end on Friday February 15th.

If you like to write, make sure to enter the school wide writing contest.  See your English teacher for details.

Most every student qualifies for some scholarships.  Even if you’re not going to a Junior College or 4-year college after high school.  Do scholarships seems confusing? Overwhelming? Not sure which ones to apply for? Worried that none of the scholarships apply to you?  Go see Mrs. Nunes in the ASB office to get help or to request the “Scholarship Info…Where do I start?” for more information.

Did you attend Van Allen School for at least 3 years?  If so, the Sandy Anderson scholarship might be for you!!  It is due March 12.  Get more information from the bulletin boards, in Naviance, or ask Mrs. Nunes in the ASB office.

Seniors…Are you associated with the Escalon Covenant Church or Escalon Presbyterian Church?  If so, the Schmidt-Schuckman-Boyles Memorial scholarship is now open and available to you!  It is due March 11.

CSF applications are due to Mr. Bower in Room 34 by Friday February 1st. Remember, you must apply each semester.

Seniors – we have many past due payments for Grad Bash! If you have not made your next payment, please do so ASAP! We also still have Grad Bash tickets available, stop by room 13 for more info.

Attention all boys’ golfers…there will be a meeting on Thursday at 3:20 in Room 27.

Come join the EHS Music Program on Thursday, February 7th at the EHS Theater for the first ever Cougar Coffee House! Tickets are $5 which include a live concert with coffee, hot chocolate, and sweet desserts! You may swing by room 16 to purchase tickets or pay at the door. Concert will feature small chamber groups and soloists. Hope to see you there!

There will be a Friends Helping Friends Club meeting today during lunch. We will discuss the Valentine’s party. Hope to see you there!
