PSAT TEST- Sophomores and Freshmen tests are on sale now in the counseling center. SOPHOMORE test date is Tuesday Feb. 26, 2019 and the cost is $16 FRESHMAN test date is Thursday Feb. 28, 2019 and the cost is $11.

GSA – There will be a club meeting today, January 17th, during lunch in Room 14. We will take our club photo for the yearbook so be sure to attend.
Film Club – There will be a Film Club meeting tomorrow Friday, January 18 during lunch in room 12. Be there as we discuss our film and our future movie nights!
The Lions Club speaking contest is February 7. There are only 2 spots available. The last day to sign up is January 30 (or until all spots are full).

We have FIVE scholarship due today. They are: Harry and Dorothy Tilbury Scholarship, John Hawkins, AARP Scholarship, Ruth Baymiller Memorial Scholarship, and Warren and Mary Hall Endowment Scholarship. Scholarships can only be turned in before school or during lunch, so if you need to turn any of these in, please bring them at lunch today.
The Kristin Smart scholarship is now open. It is due March 15. It’s for girls interested in a career in law enforcement
Speech Contest: The Escalon Sunrise Rotary will be holding its annual speech contest on Thursday, January 31st in the EHS cafeteria at 7 am. This year’s topic is “Be the Inspiration” and the length of each speech should be 5 minutes. Cash prizes are $75, $100 and $125 and they will be awarded to the top students. Any interested student can pick up more info from Mrs. Baldwin in room 30.
Debate Club: The next Debate Club meeting is January 22 at lunch in Rm 15. Our club photo will be taken for the yearbook that day.

Congratulations to the girls soccer team for their 7-0 win against Riverbank! It was a wonderful team effort! Goal scorers were; Georgina Gallo, Mya Beary, Gabby Goodman, Esmeralda Soto, Mariana Guerrero, and Alondra Martinez had Two! Assisting the goals were; Litcia Delgado, Gabby Goodman, and Georgina Gallo with two. Strong defensive play by Natalie Cortes and Breanna Cerceda and Great job defense for notching the shutout. Also, Thank you to the guys from the boy’s team for coming out and supporting us!
