It’s Wellness Wednesday!  Join the PIT class today at lunch in the quad for lawn games, music, and meeting new friends!

 

There is a Sophomore Class Meeting tomorrow, Thursday, at lunch in Rm 2.  We will be talking about class fundraisers, and signing up for the Boys Volleyball Snack Bar.

 

PIT Class Applications are now available in Rm 7.  If you are interested in joining PIT class next year, an application and interview are required.  Applications are due next Tuesday, March 5th, by the end of the school day.

 

Attention FFA Members: We are accepting egg hunt donations in all agriculture classes until March 28th. Bring in 3 items to earn an FFA point and 1 hour of community service. Thursday at lunch, there will be a mandatory meeting at lunch in room 37 for students going to the state conference. Our March campus beautification event will be held on March 9th, signups for the event are located on the Escalon FFA Google Classroom page. There will be small engines practice today in Rm 38 at 5:30 PM

Vintage yearbooks are on sale for only $5.  We have yearbooks from 1946 to 2018 (not all years, but most: 1953-1955, 1957-1963, 1965, 1967-1969, 1972, 1975-1976, 1978-1984, 1987-1991, 1997, 2000. 2002-2003, 2005-2012, 2014-2018).  If you didn’t get your Escalon High School yearbook or would like one with your parents or grandparents in it, we may have one available for you!  These yearbooks hold precious memories and are in various conditions.  Call Karen Nunes at (209) 691-9858 to find out how to get yours today.

 

Here’s a Volunteer opportunity in Escalon! Escalon Lions Club is looking for students to volunteer time on Thursday, March 14 from 6-8:30pm for their annual corned beef dinner.  A dinner will be provided to all volunteers. Please see Karen Nunes in the ASB office if you would like to volunteer.

 

Students interested in receiving tutoring in science or math? Please check the tutoring schedule and talk to your counselor if you have any questions about times and dates.

AP CLASS ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR: If you are enrolling in one of the AP classes for next school year, you are required to attend a meeting to pick up a course contract and summer assignment from each AP teacher whose class you are enrolled in. Meetings are happening during lunch from March 4-8. Meetings should take no more than 10 minutes. The meeting schedule is as follows:

First Responder Program: Managing your stress can help keep your heart healthy. This can include practicing mindfulness, doing activities you enjoy, or talking to a friend!

Yearbook: Are you interested in taking the yearbook next year? The yearbook application is now available. If you are interested, please complete this link and see Mr. Yonke in Room 14 to grab two Teacher Recommendation forms. The application is due March 15th

 

Seniors who have applied to MJC- Today is your last chance to sign up for the MJC Experience trip scheduled for this Friday March 1. If you have already signed up- Please visit the counseling center to pick up a Pre-Arranged Absence form if you plan to attend. Pre-arranged absence forms must be submitted by Tuesday, Feb. 28; otherwise, you cannot participate.

Seniors who attended Farmington for at least two years….We have a scholarship for you!  The scholarship is due March 4.  Please see Mrs. Nunes in the ASB office for an application.

Seniors…Do you attend Heritage or Escalon Presbyterian Church? They are offering two Scholarships for all majorsGet the applications from Mrs. Nunes in the ASB office.

Escalon Sportsmans Club scholarships are now open!  They are for ALL MAJORS and are due on March 8.  Please be sure to apply!

Seniors interested in applying for San Joaquin Delta College- We will host a Delta application workshop on Feb 29, 2024 in the library. Use the Google form to sign up. 

 

Graduation reminder: To participate in the ceremony, every senior must purchase their cap and gown from Jostens. Cap, gown, and tassel unit purchases can be made through the link provided in the bulletin - CLICK HERE.
